AdedayoAwakened Resilience

Privacy & confidentiality

In plain terms: what you share is treated with care, kept private, and used only for what you came here for. This page sets out the detail, including the parts that matter for coaching.

Who is responsible for your information

This website and the coaching offered through it are run by Dayo Adeniji, trading as Awakened Resilience, based in London. For any question about your information, contact raiseforglory@gmail.com or message on WhatsApp.

What is collected

Only what you give. If you fill in a form, that is your name, your email address, and anything you choose to write. If you leave a comment on the blog, the name, any star rating and the words you enter are shown publicly on that post; a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address is kept for 24 hours to stop spam, and nothing else. If you become a coaching client, it also includes what you share in our sessions and any notes kept to support your work. Nothing is gathered about you that you have not offered yourself.

What it is used for, and the lawful basis

Your details are used to give you the free guide if you asked for it, to reply to you, to arrange and deliver coaching, and to send occasional writing only if you ticked the box to ask for it. You can stop that at any time by replying to any email or getting in touch. Under UK data protection law the basis for this is your consent, and, once you are a client, the performance of our agreement to work together. Blog comments are published because you chose to post them, and are kept on the basis of the site’s legitimate interest in hosting reader discussion. That is the whole list.

Confidentiality in coaching

What you say in a session stays between us. It is not shared with family, friends, employers, or anyone else, and it is not discussed elsewhere. Any notes kept are brief, held securely, and seen by no one but me.

There are a small number of limits to this, which any responsible practitioner has to keep, and which exist to protect life:

  • If there is a serious and immediate risk to your life, or to someone else’s, I may need to involve a doctor, an emergency service, or another appropriate person.
  • Where a child or a vulnerable adult is believed to be at risk of harm.
  • Where the law requires disclosure, for example under certain court orders.

Wherever possible, I would talk to you first before doing any of this. These situations are rare, but honesty about them is part of working safely.

Supervision

Good practice sometimes means discussing the work in confidential supervision, to make sure you are being supported well. If that ever happens, you are not identified by name and nothing that could identify you is shared.

Who else sees your information

No one, beyond the trusted services used to run the site and send email, which process the information on my instruction and nothing more. The site is hosted by Netlify, which also receives form submissions and stores blog comments; Netlify is based in the United States and handles this data under its data processing terms. The fonts are served from this website itself, so loading a page does not send your details to Google or any font service. Your details are never sold, rented, or passed to anyone else for their marketing.

Some blog posts contain affiliate links. If you click one, you leave this site and the retailer’s own privacy and cookie policies apply to anything you do there.

How long it is kept

Enquiry details are kept only as long as you want to hear from me — ask to be removed and you will be, without fuss. Blog comments stay on the post until you ask for them to be removed, or until they are taken down for breaking the spirit of the site. Coaching records are kept for a limited period after our work ends, as responsible practice requires, then securely deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw consent at any time. Get in touch and it will be dealt with promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.

Cookies

This site keeps cookies to a minimum. The detail is on the cookies page.
